PIRTEK EELS BREAK NEW GROUND WITH iPHONE APP

PIRTEK Eels fans now have unprecedented access to the Club’s inner sanctum along with an NRL first in GPS player-tracking and statistics, exclusive to the official EELS iPHONE APP launched today. The Eels App’s GPS tracking system will initially feature skipper Nathan Hindmarsh, giving fans an exclusive insight into the field coverage one of the game’s most prolific workmen. Minute by minute match commentary will feature direct input from the team’s sports scientist Dr Anita Sirotic, such as hit-up impact forces (g-force), heart-rate changes, line speed (in km/h) and the inside scoop on coach Stephen Kearney’s half-time address to the team.

Eels App users also have access to exclusive pre-game interviews with the head coach and players, the post-match press conference, and post-match player interviews.

Pirtek Eels Chief Executive Paul Osborne said the App was a key tool in bringing fans closer to the action. “The whole aim of the Eels App is to give Eels fans a VIP experience and exclusive access into the inner workings of their club,” Osborne said. “Fans will receive live updates during the match of sensitive info and performance stats that are usually reserved for the coaching staff. In that respect, it’s a ground-breaking application. “The most exciting part is there’s more to come – it’s an ongoing development for us.”
